It was this shared vision and deep commitment to our youth that led to the founding of the Islamic Academy of South Jersey.
IASJ Story
The Islamic Academy of South Jersey (IASJ) was founded in 2014 to serve families seeking an educational environment that blends academic excellence with strong Islamic values.The establishment of IASJ was driven by a concern that our religious values may gradually diminish.
Therefore, a group of South Jersey muslim leaders and parents established the school as the first full-time Islamic school in Southern New Jersey, IASJ was created in response to a growing need for a school that would nurture both the minds and character of our youth.
Over the past decade, IASJ has grown into a trusted institution serving students from diverse backgrounds. What began as a vision rooted in faith and responsibility has developed into a vibrant learning community where students are supported academically, spiritually, and socially.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture children to love Allah ﷻ, follow the authentic sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and grow into compassionate, knowledgable muslims. We aim to provide an educational environment where students:
- Build a strong foundation in Islamic beliefs and daily worship
- Develop the ability to read, speak, and understand Arabic
- Learn Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic studies
- Excel academically through best practices in education
